Centrafab — Advanced Prosthetics Fabrication

Advanced prosthetics fabrication

Built to the shape you send.

Centrafab fabricates sockets, limbs, and custom orthoses for clinics. Scans and casts come in. Devices go out. The design stays yours.

  • Your design

We don’t change a modification you didn’t order.

  • Named parts

No quiet substitutions when a component is out.

  • Seen first

Photos of the finished device before it ships.

  • One bench

The tech who reads the order is the one who builds it.

The bench

What we fabricate

Central fabrication for prosthetists. Send the part of the job you don’t want on your own bench — or the whole device. We build what the order says.

Check sockets

Thermoformed from the scan or cast you send. Trim lines and modifications stay as written. We photograph the socket before it leaves so you can see edges and volume, not just a tracking number.

Process

From file to a device someone can wear

  1. 01

    Send the shape

A scan file, a plaster cast, or a mold you already trust. Label it with the clinic and an internal ID — not a full chart.

  2. 02

    We read the order

Level, side, suspension, components, liner, and ply. If a line is missing, we ask. We do not fill gaps with a house style.

  3. 03

    The bench

Form, laminate, assemble, finish. Modifications happen only where you wrote them.

  4. 04

    Photos, then ship

You see the device before it is the patient’s problem to discover. Turnaround is confirmed when the job is accepted.

Why the socket has to be right

These are the kinds of days a device has to survive. They are not case files, and they are not a promise about any one patient.

  • A woman walking a foggy harbor boardwalk wearing a below-knee prosthesis

    A daily leg

Energy-return foot, finished for the shoes they already own.

  • A runner at dawn pushing off a carbon running blade on a track

    An activity device

A blade built as its own prosthesis — not a daily leg asked to sprint.

  • A prosthetic hand holding a mug beside a natural hand on a kitchen counter

    An upper-limb build

Grip that has to survive a kitchen, not a demo table.

For clinics

Open a job ticket

Build the order the way you’d say it on the phone. The draft stays in this browser so you can copy it into your usual email. Nothing is uploaded, and no date is promised until the lab accepts the job.

Step 1 of 4

What are we building?

If you use a prosthesis

Ask your prosthetist to send the shape

Centrafab builds for clinicians. We don’t take over a fitting, and we don’t need your chart on this page. If you want the device made here, this is enough to hand them.

I’d like my prosthesis fabricated at Centrafab. Please send them the scan or cast with your design notes, suspension, and the components you want used. I understand they build for you — they don’t replace your fitting.

Questions

Before you ship a cast

Do you see patients directly?

Centrafab fabricates for clinicians. We don’t replace the prosthetist who measured the person. Patients can ask their clinician to send the shape here.

What can we send?

Scan files and plaster casts or molds. If you aren’t sure the file will open, put the filename and the software in the ticket notes and we’ll tell you before anyone is waiting on a socket.

How fast is a check socket?

It depends on the bench that week and whether the shape arrived complete. Rush is a flag, not a promise. A date is real only after the lab accepts the job.

Will you modify the shape?

Only if the order says so. If something looks off — a flare, a trim line, a missing relief — we stop and ask. Silent “improvements” are how sockets come back.

What should we leave out of the notes?

Full names, diagnoses, and chart dumps. Initials or your internal ID are enough to match a box to a file. This page stores drafts only in the browser you’re using.

Can you repair a device you didn’t make?

Often, yes. Send photos, the component list, and what’s failing — crack, looseness, growth, or a foot that’s done. We’ll say if it needs a new shape instead of a patch.
